Should We Add Film Photography to our Wedding Package?

So you’re getting married? How exciting!
Now it’s time to get planning your day, however big or small, intimate or with everyone invited. Your day, your way and I’m so ready to capture your day through photography.

I love photographing Weddings and have done it for many many years now, mainly focusing on digital with my awesome Sony mirrorless cameras to help me photograph your wedding in the best way. However over the last year, and with help from my amazing partner - April, we’ve started to offer film photography packages too.

April has shot film photography for over 10 years and knows so much about film cameras & film as well as producing stunning images.

Film photography is making a huge comeback in the photography world and very much in the wedding industry too. It really brings us back to our childhood, feeling authentic and grainy, real and joyful. Film has such a fun and surprise element to it, and although we strive to use the best equipment, it’s still very very old equipment that you can feel has been used and loved in the best way.

Through our film wedding photography we hope to be able to capture the important moments like we usually would, but in an extra special way. Using both 35mm film and medium format film. Medium format is used by very few wedding photographers through the UK and is a wonderful addition to your film images. These cameras and film are used in studio and printed or magazine work a lot, with large negatives meaning a wonderful amount of detail.

All our film photography images will be added to your online gallery, so you can see them just as you would with any wedding package, and some we share through fine art prints too (depending on your package)

We’re offering film wedding photography in a few different ways:

Add on film through the day: This is added on in rolls, starting at 2 rolls through to 5 rolls the whole of your day. With both 35mm and medium format being photographed. This can only be added when you’ve booked me as your main photographer
Full day film add on: Want film through the whole of your day without being limited to rolls, we’ve got you! This full day add on doesn’t limit the number of rolls, but on average we shoot 8-10 for an all day package. This package also comes with a cute little envelope of a few fine art images printed. This can be added on only when you’ve booked me as your main photographer
Stand alone film wedding photography: The perfect option if you’ve already got your digital photographer booked or maybe only want film anyway. This service starts at £400 for 3 hours and can be covered all day (up to 10 hours). This package also comes with a cute little envelope of fine art images printed.
