Max & Lori: At Home

I adore photographing love stories, every love, any love, love that is deep and powerful, love that is sexy and intense. I love the love we give our selves as well as the joy we can bring to others life by sharing that love. Queer love will always been special to me, something I didn’t have knowledge of or even know what it felt like, for such a long time. Now I do, and now I want to share LGBTQ+ love stories in every way.

I first found Max on Instagram a few years ago, starting my own Queer journey but also learning a lot about others, and especially Trans people. I followed along for some time and this year decided to reach out and ask to photograph Lori & Him at their home in Hastings.

There’s something about Lori & Max that I’m truly obsessed with, separately they’re wonderful humans, they’re doing great and successful in their own right, but they come together and something happens. It’s beautiful, it’s something I strive for, it’s healthy and steamy, it’s meaningful and real and raw. I think most of all for me it’s to see Queer joy, Trans Joy, love of these two people come together.

Max & Lori’s home is gorgeous, with beautiful vintage interiors and just a feel of a loved and used house, showcasing them selves in it so well. We used the stunning bedroom for a lot of the photos, and the colours work so well with my photography and edit.

Lovers sessions are one of my favourite to photograph, not only do you get to know the couple really well [because it’s an intimate thing!] but you get to see a true side of them that not many people do. I think lovers photoshoots can really empower your love both together and individually.

We also took some shots in the bathroom, which may be my favourite photo series ever. I love how normal and every day these are, but with the gorgeous colours of the room and vintage interior pieces it just all comes together so well. Sitting on the toilet reading whilst chatting to your love who’s taking a bath, it’s so wholesome, so authentic, I’m just obsessed.

Would you ever have an at home lovers photoshoot? Capturing your love at it’s most normal and real is something truly amazing
